McClure's Apple Orchard Field Trip

Today we went on a field trip to the local apple orchard.  We were supposed to go on Friday but it was pouring.  The weather was much more pleasant today.  We started out learning some basic info about the farm & getting to pet & feed some animals.  We saw some kittens, a bunny, a goose, some goats, a horse, & the cutest mini horse.  Because of the extremely warm temps in March & then a big frost there were no apples :-(  The farmer did buy some from other apple farmers so not all was lost.  We were really looking forward to picking our own this year.  I guess we will just have to go back next year!  We had a great time & it makes me look forward to going pumpkin picking soon.  I just love fall!!

The guys: Grant, Jonas & Jackson
A little meet & greet with some animals on the farm

Jackson was called up to help with a magic trick to hide the bunny

"Abracadabra" & the bunny is gone...or in Jackson's hood :-)

Learning about the bees & how they help make the apples

Found a nice one

Mrs. Screeton is always there to help!
